My name is Nick Sturley. I'm a profoundly Deaf BSL user with Usher and I have over 20 years of professional experience in the Deaf media which are:

• Writing scripts for features, shorts and plays.
   
• Peoducing and directing short films or dramatic items.
   
• Writing novels, volumes and articles.
   
• Knowledge and experience of other media areas.

Writing books, film & theatre scripts and articles

I wrote and published the award–winning and critically acclaimed MILAN novel in 2003 and I am still writing the Tales From Signtown book series for the Deaf children in association with DeafEducate.

I write scripts – features, shorts and plays – using Final Draft and I specialise in comedy, drama and creativity. I also do a script reading and rewriting service.

I have written and published several articles for a variety of magazines and online publications.

Producing and directing short films

Producing and directing short drama or dramatic programme items are my preferred specialty.

I have been professionally trained and worked in the television media. Please see my Showcase.

Other media

I have considerable knowlesge and experience in graphic & web design (purely for personal and voluntarily purposes), video editing (working with editors), presentation and print.
